MIDWAY DISTRICT (CNS) - One man was arrested as a suspect in the stabbing of another man in his legs during a fistfight while shopping Sunday at Kobey's Swap Meet.

San Diego Police officer Dan Lasher said a call came in at 12:35 p.m. of a fight and a stabbing at the large parking lot crowded with vendors, in the 3500 block of Sports Arena Boulevard.

"The male victim, 30, and another man, 25, were both shopping when they got into a fist fight and the suspect pulled out a knife and stabbed the victim several times in the leg," Lasher said. "The fight was broken up by security and the suspect was detained."

Lasher said the stabbing victim was taken to a local hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.

Anyone with information on the incident was urged to call Crime Stoppers at 888-580-8477.
