Police looking for missing elderly man

CITY HEIGHTS (CNS) - An at-risk man suffering from dementia and other ailments who wandered away from a church was being sought by police Sunday.

The missing man was identified as Thong Tran, 83, of Vietnamese descent, who lives in the 3800 block of Chamoune Avenue.

Tran was last seen exiting from Holy Spirit Church in the 2700 block of 55th Street about 10:30 a.m.

Police said Tran possibly was seen walking southbound from the church, but that has not been confirmed.

Besides dementia, Tran has been diagnosed with high blood pressure and high cholesterol.

Tran has no money, phone or other means of travel or communication.

He was described as being about 5 feet tall an weighs about 115 pounds. He is bald and has brown eyes.

Anyone who finds or sees Tran is urged to call the San Diego Police Department at (619) 531-2000.
