City reviews water conservation plan

Posted: Updated:

SAN DIEGO (CBS 8) - The City of San Diego is reviewing its water conservation plan in light of the recent statewide drought declaration.

The city already has permanent water use restrictions in place, including no excessive irrigation.

Voluntary conservation practices are also in effect, including limiting landscape irrigation and car washing to three days a week, and using recycled water for construction purposes.

The city is also expanding its "Waste No Water" campaign to get the word out to residents about conservation.
