OAKLAND, Calif. (AP) — Police in Oakland scuffled with a handful of protesters, and a few windows were smashed during a largely peaceful march to decry the shooting death of an unarmed teen in Ferguson, Missouri.

The Oakland Tribune reports that the windows of a bank and yarn store were broken in Friday's protest through the streets of Oakland.

It's not clear whether anyone has been arrested or injured.

A call and message to an Oakland Police Department spokesperson hasn't been returned.

The newspaper says the march began around 6 p.m. at a downtown plaza, the site of a peaceful protest the previous day, and wound its way to Berkeley.

Police officers, some in riot helmets, faced off with protesters at a freeway on-ramp to keep them from marching onto Interstate 880.
