SAN DIEGO (CBS 8) - Thousands of San Diegans took advantage of a rare opportunity to cross the Coronado Bay Bridge on their bikes Sunday.
Bike the Bay allows those who take part, to enjoy the scenic views of the Coronado Bridge from a unique perspective -- the bridge is open to cyclists only once a year.
The 25 mile ride takes bikers through the cities of San Diego, Coronado, Imperial Beach, Chula Vista and National City and finishes at Embarcadero Marina Park South.
