Three brothers hoping to find one forever family

Posted: Updated:

SAN DIEGO (CBS 8) - He turned nine-years-old a week ago and the best birthday gift he could receive, would be a forever family for himself and his two brothers. This is an adorable trio, hoping to find one forever home.

It doesn't take much to get these three brothers excited. They're just happy to be together.

For nine-year-old Hezeikiah, who goes by the name Kiah, and his brothers five-year-old Malachi and three-year-old Antwon, playing together is a rare treat. They're living apart right now in different foster homes.

“They are so cute. They're full of energy. They're always laughing,” said Protective Services Worker, Lauren Jankowski. “They have a special bond, especially Kiah, just is so protective over his younger brothers, just looks forward to every single time that they get to see each other, because they live about two hours away from each other right now.”

Their life has been a whirlwind and though they are all in great foster homes, what they need is a forever family to take in all three of them and give them the love and stability they deserve.

“The boys love to be active, doing sports, they're really good at sports. So just some patience because they've been through a lot, probably some understanding,” explained Jankowski.

I found the boys to be good listeners and very engaging.

Kiah is in third grade and does really well in school. His favorite subject is Math.

Malachi is in kindergarten and Antwon attends full day preschool.

We also noticed that they all have dimples, and their giggles are infectious.

These boys are resilient and they know all about adapting. When Kiah spotted a wishing well, he stopped to make a wish, but the well was dry and we didn't have any coins, so he improvised by tossing a pebble into the fountain - satisfied that his wish would come true.

On Adopt 8, we feature children who are considered "difficult to place" because they are older, or have special needs. This past year, wishes came true for several children featured on Adopt 8 who have been matched with a forever family, but many are still waiting to find a permanent home.
