Two injured after street racing ends in crash

SAN DIEGO (CBS 8) - A street race ends in a crash and it happened right in front of police. 

Two cars were racing each other on University Avenue near Shiloh Road when an officer spotted them, and pulled them over.

Before that, one of the drivers slammed into a parked vehicle, injuring himself and a pedestrian. The driver suffered a head injury and was taken to Mercy Hospital.

The other driver took off. Police are investigating to see whether drugs or alcohol were a factor.
