The FBI and police sought the public's help Sunday to identify a young man who robbed a Carlsbad bank.

CARLSBAD (CNS) - The FBI and police sought the public's help Sunday to identify a young man who robbed a Carlsbad bank.

The man entered the Chase Bank branch at 7176 Avenida Encinas at 3:07 p.m. Saturday and handed the teller a note that demanded cash and indicated he was armed, FBI Special Agent Darrell Foxworth said. No witnesses saw the suspect with a weapon.

The teller gave the suspect an undisclosed amount of cash and he left the bank, Foxworth said. No injuries were reported.

The suspect was described as a young white man, in his teens or early 20s, about 5 feet 8 to 6 feet tall with a slight to medium build and brown hair. He was wearing a white sweatshirt with the letter "P" on the left chest, dark shorts and aviator style sunglasses.

The FBI asked anyone with information to contact them at (858) 320-1800 or Crime Stoppers at (888) 580-8477.
