SAN DIEGO (CBS 8) - A man is recovering after a tricky rescue at sea.
The Coast Guard airlifted a patient suffering from a possible appendicitis aboard a cargo ship about 200 miles from San Diego.
The 27-year-old was hoisted into a medevac helicopter and rushed to the hospital Tuesday night.
Officials say bad weather complicated the rescue, but the man is expected to be OK.
