FALLBROOK (CBS 8) - Fallbrook Firefighters Association are hosting the 4th Annual 9/11 Memorial Hill Climb that resembles the type of terrain that wildland firefighters endure and the elevation simulates the height of the Twin Towers.
It will take place at Monserate Mountain in Fallbrook. Participants will be hiking up the mountain with the names of those who died on 9/11. If you would like to participate with your four-legged companion, you can. Dogs are allowed on the trail.
The event is on September 13, 2014. The proceeds from the event will be donated to Homes for Our Troops and National Fallen Firefighter's Foundation.
There will the World Memorial and a 911 survivor at the event this year. There will also be raffles and a food truck called Crabcakes911 on hand.
