SAN DIEGO (CBS 8) - A dog thrown over a fence and abandoned in Ramona was adopted Tuesday.

Surveillance video at a business caught a man throwing the pit bull puppy August 28.

The dog, now named Dolly, was found the next day and turned over to County Animal Services

She didn't have any serious injuries, and animal service workers say she's doing well and is ready for a home.

"She loves people, which says a lot for the dog. To be abandoned and thrown over a fence and still want to be social with people, says a lot," Daniel DeSousa said.

Authorities are searching for the man who threw her over the fence. If you have any information, call County Animal Services or Crime Stoppers at 888-580-8477.
