Mission Beach swimwear store targeted by drive-by shooter

Posted: Updated:
SAN DIEGO (CBS 8) - San Diego police are searching for the suspect or suspects responsible for shooting out the plate glass window of a swimwear shop on Mission Boulevard Tuesday evening.

Authorities say a dark-colored Dodge Magnum station wagon, heading northbound on Mission Boulevard near San Jose Place, slowed down in front of Pilar's Beachwear shortly before 9 p.m. At that point, someone within the vehicle fired a series of shots at the storefront.

Police say they recovered three BB's at the scene of the shoot-out and canvassed the area to see if any nearby businesses caught the vehicle on surveillance camera.

The store was closed at the time, and no one was injured.

Police say the suspect or suspects could face felony charges.

Anyone with information on this shooting is asked to call the San Diego Police Department or San Diego Crime Stoppers at 888-580-8477.
