SDSU students demonstrate for campus safety

SAN DIEGO (CBS 8) - Several student groups demonstrated at SDSU Thursday, calling for action to combat sexual violence on campus.

Demonstrators are targeting what they say is the lack of action by the school's administration in light of recent attacks. They want the school's president to tell students what's being done regarding the issue.

"We know that there is a sexual assault task force, we know that this is on their radar, but we're just feeling a little bit in the dark because they haven't made a lot of comments about it," student Jordan Busse said.

The group is also calling for governor brown to sign the "Yes Means Yes" legislation that redefines consent.
