LA JOLLA (CBS 8) - A La Jolla family is asking for help in tracking down their autistic son's service dog.
Owner Shelly Lana says the female yellow lab mix named Cara has been missing since Friday, and may have been stolen.
The dog is not wearing a collar because of a skin infection on her neck. She is also in need of medication for an ear infection.
Cara was trained at Canine Companions for Independence in Oceanside. Anyone with information is asked to call the family at 858-361-0098.
