SAN DIEGO (CBS 8) - A man and woman accused of several burglaries and the shooting of two women in Little Italy pleaded not guilty Tuesday.
Richard Fox and Deanna Rodriguez are accused of carrying out a series of residential burglaries in the East County in early July.
Then, July 27, prosecutors say the couple drove to Little Italy, where Rodriguez confronted three women and tried to steal their purses.
She pulled out a gun and fired, hitting two of the women, seriously injuring one of them.
Rodriguez and Fox will be back in court October 17.
