Special event Tuesday to help veteran women

Posted: Updated:

SAN DIEGO (CBS 8) - Experts say more female veterans are ending up homeless because they may not know about all the resources that are out there.

Tuesday a resource expo geared specifically toward female veterans kicks off at Liberty Station to try and help them make that transition back into civilian life.

It's a chance for women who served to find the tools they need to transition back into civilian life, all in one spot. There will be job recruiters there, as well as consultants who can help guide them on proper interview attire.

If they're interested in going back to school, there will be people who can help with that too. There will also be information on how to apply for military benefits.

9am-2pm: Exhibitors

10am-11:30am: Panel/Q&A
