San Diegans sleep out to help homeless

Hundreds of people were sleeping outside at Liberty Station to help the homeless Saturday, October 11 and experience what it's like to live on the street.

SAN DIEGO (CBS 8) - Hundreds of people slept outside at Liberty Station to help the homeless Saturday, October 11. It was all part of the annual Sleepless San Diego event, which gives people the opportunity to experience what it's like to live on the street.

CBS News 8's Matt Johnson filed the above video report from Liberty Station with the powerful lessons learned at the fundraiser.
