SAN DIEGO (CBS 8) - A San Diego schools police officer reportedly used a Taser to subdue a narcotics suspect in North Park.

Witnesses say the suspect dropped drugs during a chase in the area of University Avenue and Hamilton Street at about 4:30 p.m. Tuesday.

One witness said the suspect -- who appeared to be a teenager -- and the officer got into a struggle.

"And the cop tased him, and he kept telling him 'I can't breathe,' and the cop just kept tasing him. He should have stopped as soon as he said 'I can't breathe.' That wasn't right," witness Che Lumbwelle said.

No word on the suspect's condition.
