Police investigate possible stolen grenade found at home in Nestor

SAN DIEGO (CBS 8) - An investigation is underway Thursday after a possible stolen military grenade was found at a home in Nestor.

Police got the call just after 5:30 p.m. in the 2000 block of Grove Avenue. The homeowner said he found some sort of explosive device in his adult daughter's bedroom.

Metro Arson Strike Team units examined the item -- believed to be stolen-- and determined that it's a possible military grenade or item from explosive ordnance disposal.

Police say there were no explosive devices, and they are trying to determine where it came from.

One adult female is detained for questioning.
