SAN YSIDRO (CBS 8) - A cab driver is critically hurt after crashing into a tree in San Ysidro.

It happened early Friday morning on Interstate 5, just north of Dairy Mart Road.

Authorities say the driver somehow lost control, veered off the shoulder and slammed into a tree. The impact sent the car spinning 180 degrees.
