SANTA ANA, Calif. (AP) — Authorities have arrested an aspiring Canadian model and a private pilot on federal drug charges in Southern California.

According to federal court documents, 30-year-old Krista Boseley, of Vancouver, British Columbia, and 61-year-old Gilles Lapointe, also from Canada, were taken into custody on Oct. 9 at John Wayne Airport in Orange County.

Federal officials say the two were carrying roughly $2 million in drugs in their bags when they arrived on a private plane from Las Vegas.

According to court documents, authorities found 50,000 Ecstasy pills and about 90 pounds of raw MDMA in their luggage.

MDMA is a powder used in Ecstasy and the club drug known as "Molly."

They will be arraigned Oct. 27.

Calls and emails to their attorneys, Matthew Lombard and Victor Sherman, were not immediately returned.
