SAN MARCOS (CNS) - Campus police Friday were investigating a sexual assault of another woman at a Cal State San Marcos residence hall.

A woman reported on Thursday that she was assaulted in the UVA residence hall at 305 Campus View Drive sometime between last Friday night and early Saturday morning, according to a police bulletin.

It was the third rape at a residence hall on campus since the beginning of the school year.

A student said she was sexually assaulted by an invited guest she met at the QUAD residence hall sometime between the night of Sept. 12 and the morning of Sept. 14, and another student reported being sexually assaulted late on Sept. 18 or early the following day at the same residence hall by a man she met there at a party, according to campus police.

The suspect in the latest attack is white, 20-21 years old, 5 feet 9 inches tall, 130 pounds with short brown hair and green eyes. He is not a student at the university and is believed to reside in San Bernardino County.

The suspect in the first September attack was described as black, about 5 feet 8 inches tall, 160 pounds with short hair and is known to wear square diamond earrings. He was believed to be a 21-year-old Escondido resident who does not attend the university, police said.

The suspect in the second September attack was described as black, about 18 years old, 5 feet 8 inches tall and 170 pounds with short black hair and brown eyes. He is not a university student and is believed to live somewhere in Orange County, police said.

No arrests have been made in any of the cases, said university spokeswoman Margaret Chantung.
