SAN DIEGO (CNS) - Gang detectives Monday investigated an incident in Colina del Sol that sent a man in his 20s to the hospital with a non-life-threatening gunshot wound to his hand, police said.
The shooting in the area of Euclid and Polk avenues was reported at 7:15 p.m. Sunday, according to San Diego police Officer Dino Delimitros.
Two men in their 20s were in an alley talking when the shooter walked up and issued a gang challenge, then opened fire, he said in a statement.
Police described the shooter as a Hispanic man of about 25, with a medium to heavy build, last seen wearing a blue hat, black pants and blue jacket.
