SAN DIEGO (CBS 8) - Two pedestrians have been killed and another has been critically injured in three different wrecks Monday evening.

In El Cajon, witnesses say a man in his 40s was in the crosswalk when he was hit. A second car struck him while he was lying in the road but only the first driver stopped. Authorities are now looking for a dark-colored SUV with some damage. The victim is being treated for serious injuries. Investigators have not yet determined who is at fault, or whether the driver who stopped will face charges.

A second accident in Lemon Grove left one woman dead after getting hit by a car. The victim, a homeless woman in her 30s, was headed eastbound across Sweetwater Road when she was hit by a black SUV. She was pronounced dead on the scene. The driver stayed at the scene and there is no word of any charges.

In Del Mar, a third pedestrian was hit and killed on the westbound Via de la Valle ramp to Interstate 5. The victim, a homeless man, was reportedly standing in the middle of the ramp when he was hit by a white SUV. The driver, a woman in her 40d, remained on the scene. The driver was not charged.
