SAN DIEGO (CBS 8) - Todd Bosnich is out on bail Wednesday morning, after being arrested for allegedly assaulting his mother. Bosnich is the former campaign aide who accused congressional candidate Carl DeMaio of sexual harassment. He was taken into custody Tuesday after police say a fight with his mother got physical last week

Bosnich, 29, was arrested Tuesday morning at his mother's home near Del Mar for battery, disabling a telephone line and assault with a deadly weapon. San Diego Police say on Friday, Bosnich pushed his mother, disabled her phone and threw a drinking glass at her in her home.

Tuesday night, Bosnich posted $30,000 bail and refused to answer reporter questions.

The former campaign staffer accused congressional candidate for the 52nd District, Carl DeMaio of sexual harassment and exposing himself during the heated campaign. DeMaio denied the claims and accused Bosnich of breaking into his office and stealing a so-called playbook.

The District Attorney declined to file charges.

On Sunday, the republican candidate conceded to incumbent Scott Peters in the congressional race.
