CHULA VISTA (CBS 8) - Authorities investigating a suspicious device discovered at a residence Monday in Chula Vista is harmless.
According to a Chopper 8 live report, a person entered their property on Whitney Street, west of Hilltop High School and discovered what appeared to be an explosive device. After officers arrived, they also determined the device was suspicious and decided to send in a robot to further assess the device.
Early Monday afternoon, a bomb squad determined the device was harmless and not explosive.
Traffic was expected to return to normal around the area by 1 p.m.
