Preview: Chargers 2015 Join the Team calendar

Posted: Updated:
SAN DIEGO (CBS 8) - They're serious and tough on the field, but off the field Chargers players have a soft spot in their hearts for kids. For the 8th year in a row, the Chargers are teaming up with San Diego County Adoptions and Adopt 8 to raise awareness about the need for adoptive families.

The 2015 Join the Team Calendar will soon be released, but Photojournalist Ann Marie Spaulding has an exclusive look in the above video of the behind-the-scenes at the photo shoot this past summer with Chargers players and children who are waiting to find a forever home.

The 2015 Join the Team Calendar will be revealed at the Chargers v. Patriots game Sunday, December 7 and distributed to fans after that date. Check the Adopt 8 page for the different locations where you can obtain a free copy.

Meanwhile, if you're interested in adopting or becoming a foster family, please call 1-877-I-ADOPT-U.

On Adopt 8, we feature children who are considered "difficult to place" because they are older, or have special needs. This past year, wishes came true for several children featured on Adopt 8 who have been matched with a forever family, but many are still waiting to find a permanent home.
