"All-you-can-fly" airline adds Carlsbad flights

Posted: Updated:

CARLSBAD (CBS 8) - The country's first "all-you-can-fly" private membership airline is expanding to the Carlsbad Airport.

Starting Tuesday, Surf Air will be flying round-trip daily flights from Carlsbad to San Francisco and Santa Barbara. Surf Air members pay a $500 initiation fee. They're then charged $1,750 a month for unlimited flights.

"We know there are tons of companies right here within a mile radius who will want to take advantage of this to get up north to see the people that they need to engage with on a regular basis," Surf Air VP Justin Hart said.

The company has plans to add flights to the Los Angeles area and Lake Tahoe in the near future.
