OCEANSIDE (CNS) - Oceanside police were on the lookout Friday for the group of assailants who allegedly beat, stabbed and robbed a man near Libby Lake Park.
The victim told police a pedestrian flagged down his vehicle in the 4700 block of Calle Solimar near Calle Vallecito around 7:30 p.m. Friday, then began punching him once he pulled over, according to Oceanside police Sgt. Matt Christensen.
Shortly after, a couple more suspects joined in.
At some point during the altercation, the victim was stabbed in his arms and chest, Christensen said.
The victim also claimed the suspects took $1,400 from him.
Christensen said the victim was taken to a hospital to be treated for superficial wounds, and was later released.
The victim described the suspects only as Hispanic and in their late teens to early 20s.
