OCEANSIDE (CBS 8) - A violent crash on a winding road in Oceanside sent two people to the hospital.
The accident happened around 7 p.m. Thursday night in the 1300 block of Sleeping Indian Road.
Fire officials say a Ford truck was traveling northbound and a small passenger car was traveling southbound when the two collided.
The truck ended up on top of the car, trapping a man and a woman inside.
It took crews about 45 minutes to get the two people out.
Both passengers suffered serious injuries.
One was airlifted to Palomar Medical Center and the other to Scripps La Jolla.
The driver of the truck was not hurt.
