6 arrested in fight that left homeless man dead

SANTEE (CNS) - Two young women, three young men and one juvenile are in custody Monday and facing murder charges in connection with the death of a homeless man during a fight under a highway overpass in Santee, authorities said.

Cassidy Rowin, 18, Sarah Baillie, 18, Tyler Dare, 19, Brian Kish, 18, and 19-year-old Danny Swan, III, each are jailed in connection the homicide that happened about 5:20 p.m. Saturday in the 9300 block of Mission Gorge Road, underneath state Route 52, according to San Diego County sheriff's Lt. John Maryon.

The identity of the jailed juvenile was withheld because the suspect is a minor.

The victim, identified as 55-year-old Stephen Lee Hissom, died with blunt force injuries to his body, he said.

A second homeless man, who is 49, was also injured in the alleged fight with the six suspects but decline medical attention at the scene.

As of early today, authorities had not released a suspected motive for the alleged fight.
