ESCONDIDO (CBS 8) – A suspect search is underway in Escondido, after a man was shot multiple times.
The shooting happened at the intersection of West 15th Avenue and South Pine Street just before 9:00 p.m. Wednesday.
Police say the victim was shot once in the neck and four times in the legs. He is undergoing surgery at Palomar Medical Center.
The suspect is described as a Hispanic man in his twenties, standing 5'10” and weighing 200 pounds. He may have fled the scene in a blue four-door sedan.
