SAN DIEGO (CBS 8) - A parolee is back behind bars Tuesday after leading police on a chase that ended in a crash in Emerald Hills.
Police tried to pull the man over in the 5200 block of Landis Street just after 9 a.m., but he drove off. He crashed the car near the state Route 94 on ramp from Euclid Avenue a short time later.
Police say there were reports of shots fired on Landis earlier Tuesday morning, and authorities were looking for the suspect, but they have not said if this was the man they were looking for.
There was no weapon in the car, but officers say they found a weapon on the chase route and are looking into whether it could be connected to the incident.
