JULIAN (CBS 8) - The recent snow that blanketed San Diego's mountains brought thousands of people to Julian and while many visitors shopped and ate apple pie, residents say others created a big mess.

Many residents reported visitors blocking their driveways and trespassing on private property to go sledding.

There was also a lot of trash left behind in the snow and in the streets.

One resident said she doesn't want people to stop visiting, she's just asking them to be more respectful.

"We don't go down to the city, the beach, driving in your yards, taking down your fences that protect your children and animals. We don't rip them down so that we can go play in your yard,” explained Holly Neil.

Thousands of cars clogged the roadways to Julian Thursday and SR-78 and SR-79 were at a complete standstill for most of the day.
