SAN DIEGO (CNS) - It took firefighters less than 20 minutes Saturday night to knock down a non-injury fire in a second-floor unit of an apartment building in Mission Valley, authorities said.

The fire was reported at 6:39 p.m. in the 6000 block of Rancho Mission Road, said a San Diego Fire Department dispatcher.

Firefighters had trouble locating the unit where the fire broke out, but still had the flames knocked down by 6:58 p.m., the dispatcher said.

The Red Cross was called to assist a displaced resident in finding temporary shelter, she said.
