'Remembering Our Fallen' exhibit on display in Alpine

Posted: Updated:

SAN DIEGO (CBS 8) - Alpine is now home to a traveling memorial photo exhibit that honors soldiers who made the ultimate sacrifice for their country.

The "Remembering Our Fallen" exhibit offers visitors a look at the photos of more than 700 Californians -- 77 of them from San Diego -- who were killed in the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan.

"I hope that they understand that these men and women help provide us with the freedom that we have in the United States of America today and that these men and women deserve to be remembered. And that's what this is all about," Dan Foster of the Alpine Wall of Honor said.

The free exhibit will be on display at the Alpine Community Center through March 7.
