"Brave the Shave" to help children with cancer

SAN DIEGO (CBS 8) - Just in time for St. Patrick's Day, the St. Baldrick's Foundation is teaming up with The Commons for the organization's 7th annual Shave-A-Thon in San Diego. 

On Saturday, March 7 from noon to 4 p.m., San Diegans will gather at the downtown hotspot to shave their heads to generate awareness and fund research for childhood cancer and help give survivors a chance at long and healthy lives.

•Food / Drink Specials: This year, a handcrafted specialty St. Baldrick's signature cocktail will be featured, with a portion of the proceeds directly benefiting the Foundation. The promotion, offered at The Commons will take place throughout the entire month of March. The Commons is creating three specialty items where $1 from the sales of these will benefit the St. Baldrick's Foundation. The Commons is showcasing delicious Spicy Guinness Wings served with a Stone Smoked Porter Aioli dipping sauce paired with either a Jameson Ginger a blend of Jameson Irish Whiskey, Ginger Ale and a dash of Angostura Bitters, or an Irish Pancake Shot made up of Jameson Irish Whiskey, maple syrup and orange juice.
