LAKESIDE (CBS 8) - East County children are gearing up for a big event - the Eastern San Diego County Junior Fair. It's a time for FFA and 4-H kids to showcase their hard work.
This is not only a time to show off their projects and have fun with farm animal, it also a time to raise scholarship money. There will be a BBQ and auction items, as well.
Through the fair, some $2 million has been given out in scholarship money. One hundred percent of all funds raised go straight to benefiting the kids.
The BBQ fundraiser and auction will be held Sunday, March 15 at the Lakeside Rodeo grounds.
