SAN DIEGO (CBS 8) - Padres legend Trevor Hoffman is making a big difference in the lives of at-risk youth.
"You think of the basic necessities that we, not actually take for granted, but the things that are a part of our daily routines, some of these kids out there don't have that luxury and it's impactful in how they live their lives,” said Hoffman.
I had the honor to emcee Creations in Chocolate in Point Loma Thursday night. It's a fundraiser for San Diego Youth Services, which is a non-profit that provides a safe place to live, mental health counseling and educational support.
Everyone feasted on decadent chocolate from more than a dozen chocolatiers, while sipping wine and champagne.
Thank you to everyone who came out and helped raise $80,000 for the organization.
