OLD TOWN (CNS) - A rental car was stolen at knife point from two tourists today at an Old Town gas station.

The male half of a vacationing couple in their 50s walked into the Arco station on Old Town Avenue near Moore street around 1 p.m., leaving his wife in the passenger seat of the running 2015 Nissan Versa, San Diego police Officer

Frank Cali said. Shortly after, the knife-wielding carjacker hopped into the drivers seat and ordered her out.

The suspect sped off in the silver sedan, which has the Nevada license plate 714APJ and red tape over a broken passenger side rear light, Cali said.

Police described the suspect as white, in his 40s and around 5 feet 7 and thin with curly reddish blond hair. He was wearing a white, orange and green striped polo shirt and blue jeans.
