SAN DIEGO (CBS 8) - The San Diego Sheriff's Department conducted a sting operation on Saturday along with the Department of Alcohol Beverage Control.

The operation is called a "shoulder tap" and it uses police decoys under the age of 21 to catch people selling alcohol to minors.

The decoys stand outside stores and ask people passing by to purchase alcohol for them. Those who take the bait are ticketed and will have to pay a $1,000 fine.

Deputies made one arrest today and visited six locations in San Diego County.
