SAN DIEGO (CNS) - A 33-year-old man was in custody Tuesday on suspicion of using a butcher knife to stab a man four times during an argument in a Lincoln Park apartment courtyard, police said.

The stabbing at 4610 Nogal St. was reported at 7:50 p.m. Monday, according to San Diego police Officer Dino Delimitros.

Paramedics took the 31-year-old victim to Scripps Mercy Hospital, a San Diego fire-rescue dispatcher said.

Delimitros said that the wounds, which were to the victim's chest, shoulder and thigh, were not life-threatening.

The nature of the argument between the men was unclear.
