SANTEE (CNS) - A fire blackened a patch of brush Friday alongside State Route 125 in Santee.
The non-injury blaze near the southbound lanes, south of Prospect Avenue, was reported shortly before 9 a.m, according to Heartland Fire & Rescue and the California Highway Patrol.
The fire, which closed two southbound lanes of Route 125, scorched an area of about 200-feet-by-50-feet before it was being knocked down about 20 minutes later, authorities said.
An 18-year-old man was stabbed after he got into a fight with another man on a street in the Redwood Village area of San Diego, authorities said Sunday.
