SAN DIEGO (CBS 8) - A woman is in custody Saturday night after throwing a brick through a car in Bankers Hill and involving police in a standoff that ended with officers deploying a bean bag gun.

Officers arrived at a home in the 2400 block of Union Street around 9:00 a.m. after a driver called 911 because a woman threw a brick at their car.

Police say the woman was armed with multiple weapons, including a knife and a large shard of glass. According to police, she refused to drop the weapons. As officers tried to negotiate with her, she threw a large wooden object at one of the officers.

At that point, police deployed a K-9 officer and the bean bags. The woman was arrested and taken to the hospital for treatment.

There has been no word on the condition of the driver and officer she attacked.
