SAN DIEGO (CBS 8) - There is new information Sunday night about the driver who died in a violent car crash in Rancho Bernardo last week.

23-year-old Andrew Truesdell lost control of his vehicle, hit a curb and then slammed into a tree. He leaves behind his high school sweetheart and their two year old daughter.

Andrew's longtime girlfriend, Alexandria Stolle, says her world came crashing down after she discovered Andrew died in a horrible accident near Bernardo Heights Parkway and Avenida Venusto.

Police say he was speeding when he lost control of his car. Alexandria says the tires on his car were bald and that he was on his way to get them replaced.

She says between the two of them, they sometimes had 5 jobs. They were also attending Palomar College and were doing everything they could to make ends meet. During their last conversation, they talked about getting married.
