SAN YSIDRO (CNS) - A 38-year-old attempted-murder suspect is behind bars Tuesday after a team of U.S. Marshals caught up to him at hotel near the U.S.-Mexico border a few days after he dodged them in Chula Vista.

Alejandro Gutierrez, a suspect in an attempted homicide shooting in Chula Vista April 2, was arrested by members of a U.S. Marshals Fugitive Apprehension Team Monday afternoon at the Knights Inn at 230 Via de San Ysidro, according to a Chula Vista police statement.
