CHULA VISTA (CNS) - A traveling exhibition about the 710 California members of the armed forces who have died in the line of duty since 9/11 will go on display Sunday at the Chula Vista Civic Center Library.

"Remembering Our Fallen," a 125-foot exhibit that includes military and personal photos of the fallen, is scheduled to be on display for the next 10 days.

A separate display will honor the 14 South Bay-area soldiers who have been killed in action.

"This exhibition brings forth my greatest hope that our children's sacrifice will not be forgotten, and that gold star families find comfort in knowing their communities will remember them," said Armida Martinez, the mother of Army Sgt. Michael Martinez.

The Eastlake High School graduate was killed in 2007 during his second tour in Iraq.

The library will be open from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. today, 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Thursday, and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday and Saturday.

An opening ceremony is scheduled for Monday at 1 p.m. at the library, located at 365 F St.
