Annual Paralyzed Veterans of America Convention

SAN DIEGO (CBS 8) - They took an oath to defend our country and they were severely injured while serving.

The Paralyzed Veterans of America is an organization that helps veterans and their families in every way imaginable.

On Tuesday, representatives from Paralyzed Veterans of America's 34 chapters across the country, including the local Cal-Diego Chapter, will gather in San Diego for the organization's 69th annual convention.

National President Al Kovach, Jr., a paralyzed veteran, former Navy Seal and San Diego resident, will lead the discussion on major issues currently facing veterans with disabilities, such as accessing quality healthcare, obtaining benefits and finding employment after military service.
