Missing couple last seen at Valley View Casino

Posted: Updated:
VALLEY CENTER (CBS 8) - San Diego Sheriff's Deputies are looking for a couple who disappeared after a visit to the Valley View Casino in Valley Center on Sunday.

Cecil Knutson and Dianna Bedwell left the casino around 2 p.m., Sunday to visit their son in Riverside and have not been seen since.

It's been a mysterious case of disappearance on Mother's Day, and family members said 79-year-old Cecil Knutson and his wife 67-year-old Dianna Bedwell were enjoying a day at Valley View Casino.

"The family is very concerned," said Robert Acosta

The couple is from Anaheim, and they never made it to their son's home for dinner in La Quinta, 94 miles away from the casino.

"Hopefully it will be like they lost ran out of gas no water and they will be fine that's our prayer," said Robert Acosta.

To make matters worse, the couple never made it to their home in Anaheim, which is why authorities are putting their pictures out in hopes of getting the public's help.

The casino security tape shows the couple there, making it the last place they were seen.

The missing couple's last cell-phone signal pinged them somewhere near Deer Springs Road and Interstate 15, 13 miles away from Valley View Casino.

They were last seen in their 2014 white Hyundai Sonata with California license plates, 7EHE981.

If you have any information on the couple, you are asked to call San Diego County Sheriff's Department at 858-565-5200.
