SAN DIEGO (CNS) - A 55-year-old woman suffered serious injuries Saturday when she apparently crossed against a red signal and was struck by a motorcyclist in the East Village community of San Diego.
The woman was hit a little after 2:55 a.m. by a 22-year-old motorcyclist going northbound on 11th Avenue at Broadway, said San Diego police officer Frank Cali.
The woman broke her left forearm, left lower leg and her hip, Cali said.
Paramedics rushed the woman to an area hospital.
It was not immediately known if the motorcyclist was injured. Alcohol was not a factor in the crash, he said.
